Are robot dogs the same as actual dogs?

As technology continues to advance, many of our conventional methods or living standards are going out of trend. If you keep up with the latest advancements in technology, you would know that one of the most innovative inventions is robot dogs.

How are robot dogs helpful? These dogs are proving to be quite beneficial for senior citizens who need company but do not have the energy to take care of their everyday needs. Companionship with dogs, whether biological or robotic, relieve loneliness and anxiety. They keep us healthy, lively, and happy. These robotic dogs move like actual dogs and are more accessible than you’d think.

Electronic pets are becoming more and more common. Due to the increase in their popularity, electrical pets are being introduced at more reasonable price rates. They are also ideal for people with Alzheimer’s or dementia.

The dogs even have a heartbeat and are also responsive to human touch. When you interact with them, they respond.

The question that arises here is whether or not they are ready to be therapy dogs? Before COVID-19 hit, therapy dogs were used widely to provide relief to patients with Alzheimer’s. Getting in touch with dogs can help patients recall moments in their memory.

It has been discovered that some patients can do this even after interacting with robotic dogs. Studies conducted have shown that to improve the well-being and quality of life of individuals that are lonely, these dogs are highly beneficial since they don’t require being taken care of.

In a program, it was witnessed that people cried when they received the robotic pets and loved them like they were actual pets. They have even enhanced and improved the mood of the recipient almost instantly.

These dogs are certainly almost as beneficial as real pets. Their popularity has increased in COVID-19 as well for senior citizens who find it too hard to go outside and walk their pets.
