Huskies are gorgeous creatures, they are sweet and loving. They love to go on an adventure and are great with children. They have a great temperament. However, they also have their drawbacks, like they are always eager to attack animals, like cats. Siberian Huskies can be tough to train, and like to carry and chew things, but, despite everything, don’t we just love our babies?

Despite the fact that they can sometimes be a pain, we love our dogs and we want them to live long happy, and healthy lives. In order for them to stay healthy, you need to look out for common health problems that are found in huskies and be cautious.

Common health problems in huskies

One of the most common problems found in dogs is dental disease. It affects around 80% of dogs by the time they are two years old. Siberian Huskies are more prone to these dental diseases.

Huskies are also more susceptible to viral and bacterial infections. These include distemper, rabies, and parvovirus. These can be prevented through vaccination, and in case you need to know more, you can ask your vet.

Cataracts are also a common problem in Huskies. It affects 10% of the dogs, and the dog will develop it around the age of 6 to 12 months. Hence, you need to get the eyes of your dogs checked regularly.

Hip dysplasia is a concerning health problem. It can cause changes in the hip joint. It is really expensive to treat, but more than that, your dog will experience severe pain. When it comes to age, there is no specific one at which your dog may experience it. Hence, talk these points through with your vet.
