How to groom your Siberian Husky
Siberian Huskies are marvelous creatures. Their beauty and wolf-like appearance are what make them so widely popular. Their regal look is enough to captivate anyone.
While they are absolutely beautiful, keeping a Siberian Husky is a big responsibility. They are big dogs with a pretty thick coat. Hence, you need to devote a significant amount of time daily to groom them. The double-coated dogs require grooming regularly and much more care than dogs that have a single coat.
There is no doubt that huskies are gorgeous but to maintain their royal look, there is some maintenance that you need to keep doing.
How to groom your Husky
First and foremost, the most obvious step is that you need to brush your dog on a regular basis. Through an undercoat brush, you can in detail groom their undercoat. Remember, your dog may shed a lot when this happens, and you may need to go to a place where cleaning up might be easy after.
When the weather starts becoming warm, your dog will shed. The process is slow, however, brushing your dog’s hair regularly can make it faster. This will also ensure that your dog’s hair doesn’t mat. When this happens, just keep brushing your dog. An undercoat rake will specifically help with this.
Obviously, dental health is important. Get a dog-friendly toothpaste and toothbrush and brush your canine’s teeth every day. If your dog acts out during the process, then try to find a flavor it really likes. That will help.
Cutting your dog’s nails is essential too. It will keep your house furniture from getting destroyed. You can get nail clippers and do it yourself if you have the experience. However, if you don’t, it is important that you get a professional to do it for you.
Every now and then, take your dog to a groomer to get them groomed in detail.
