The temperament of poodles
Poodles are a famous breed in the US, whether purebred or mixed, people tend to love them. This is due to their charismatic persona.
Poodles have a great temperament and are alert and intelligent. They are very smart and quick. Poodles are really loyal, and they will stick by your side no matter what. They bond greatly with family members and can be a little shy around strangers. If you have a stranger in your house, it may be normal for your dog to hold back.
Poodles are energetic and follow their owner around all the time. They can pick up on their owner’s mood and mimic it. This means that if you are having a bad day, your dog will notice that and they will end up feeling the same way too.
They are large in size and will need large living space and room. Although they are well-behaved, they will act out if they are not given proper physical exercise. They crave their owner’s attention and demand a huge chunk of your time.
They get along great with other pets of the house. Poodles are sensitive to noise, and they will be sure to alert their owner in case there is an intruder nearby. One downside is that if you leave the dog alone for too long, they will act out. They also like to live in quiet and peaceful environments, so if the ambiance of your house is not like that, it will make them stressed.
They are intelligent and active, so you need to make sure they are receiving enough mental stimulation. Daily walks and runs can keep your dog healthy. You can also enroll your dog in an agility class, where they will have to use their body and mind simultaneously. They can be easily trained too.
